ESR's day in Sun
Controversial Open Source advocate, Eric Raymond, has been kicking-up a
stink with Sun. In what's rapidly turning into a flame-war writ large,
Raymond started by writing an open letter to Sun boss Scott McNealy.
After making a jibe about McNealy's commitment to Open Source, Raymond
suggested the company _free_ the Java programming language. Sun replied
and said that, actually, it has done more for Open Source than anybody
(and also suggested that if ESR's letter is how Open Source treats its
friends then it must really be nasty to its enemies). Eric then
responded by saying... well, read for yourself.
