When I "upgraded" from RH 7.2 to Fedora Core 1, the 3D on my VooDoo
3000 stopped working. I was able to track the problem down in looking
at the XFree 86 boot up messages (see /var/log/XFree86.0.log) by
searching for "dri". It seems that they changed the rules between XFree
4.1 (or whatever RH 7.2 was using), and 4.3. Now, 3D HW acceleration
only works if the resolution is 800x600 or less, and it's 16 bpp. So,
to play Unreal Tournament, for example, I have to start another XFree 86
server at the proper resolution and bits-per-pixel, and it works fine.

	In your case, try:

		grep -i dri /var/log/XFree86.0.log

and see what it's complaining about.

	HTH!
