Indeed... that would make NO sense considering competitively priced and 
demonstrably superior options like the QNX offerings that Bjorn mentioned.

Is it just that the management only knows a couple of buzzwords??  Or is there 
a valid rational for them to skip even the most basic, reasonable front end 
research for this project??
