I only know of the KT-133 chipset having trouble with DMA.
It's been a heavily discussed issue on the mythtv mailing lists.
I have a kt333 chipset MB that works fine with a hauppauge pvr-250 capture 
card in windows and linux.

What kind of errors are you getting?
