[ale] [OT] Digital Pictures on CD-R got erased

Anyone have ideas on how to recover pictures from a multi-session CD,
when the last session wiped out one of the previous ones?  This is a
CD-R disk, so it shouldn't be possible to erase the data, so it has to
be there somewhere.

I did a 'dd if=/dev/cdrom of=pictures.iso' and was able to recover the
first session, and the third session appears in /mnt/cdrom, but the
second session has gone missing.

Any thoughts/pointers are greatly appreciated.
