Not an answer directly to your wine-ing :), but you might also look
into Squeak (http://squeak.org/) which is a full-fledged Smalltalk
environment.  It supports a good bit of zero- to little-programming
required drag-and-drop-ish stuff that's aimed at kids.


Plus it's chock full of Smalltalk goodness.
