also, Dell Business offers machine w/o OS, with option to preconfigure it
for Redhat Linux or Windows 2000 ( I guess in its BIOS setups, similar to
Compaq's BIOS option)

I think there are other reasons that the Dells and HPs continue to offer
M$ Office for it's rediculous price verses OpenOffice or even StarOffice
for the more reasonable price.
My solution is, I don't do business with those folks.
