[ale] USB problems

All of a sudden my 6-in-1 stick reader will no longer work on my
computer.  It works on other machine.  I keep getting these messages:

hub.c: new USB device 00:01.2-1, assigned address 4
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=4 (error=-110)
hub.c: new USB device 00:01.2-1, assigned address 5
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=5 (error=-110)
hub.c: connect-debounce failed, port 1 disabled
hub.c: connect-debounce failed, port 1 disabled
hub.c: new USB device 00:01.2-1, assigned address 6
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=6 (error=-110)
hub.c: new USB device 00:01.2-1, assigned address 7
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=7 (error=-110)
