The windows admins don't seem to be impressed, nor do they get enthused
when I show them my linux server uptime of more than a year.

They seem to be really into pushing new security policies to the clients
and sucking up client resources with scheduled virus scans. :-D

Thanks for the link.

>I have found a windows machine to be nearly useful once cygwin is
>installed. :)
>
>Adding the native Xserver and running XFCE tends to utterly bewilder
>most windows admins and keeps me in stitches while they stare at my
>screen.

>>I've decided to upgrade my backup plan for the new year and I'm looking
>>for some examples, especially from users of rsync. Also I would like to
>>know if anyone has done anything to back up a w2k workstation with
>>rsync, such as can be done with ghost.
