I think I may have read the same posts, if they were the ones referenced from
the list here a few weeks ago...
What I got out of those email archives was that Torvald's issues are not with
the kernel SCSI code quality, but with the ATAPI <> SCSI mapping hack that
cdrecord relies on. It's that part of the equation that he would like to see
depricated.
