I've got my wife's Windows laptop set up finally for school (yeah,
winsux is required required). Anyway, I've got a happy little cups
system that ll my linux boxes can print through nicely. I have
installed samba on the printer server and set it up. I've added the
printer to her laptop and installed the drivers but when I print I get
nothing. The laptop seems to think the printjob went but in my samba
logs I get this:
{0}:/var/log/samba>cat log.smbd
[2004/01/11 06:28:17, 0] printing/print_cups.c:cups_printer_fn(108)
Unable to connect to CUPS server localhost - Connection refused
{1}:/var/log/samba>cat log.dana
[2004/01/07 22:20:38, 0] lib/util_sock.c:read_socket_data(342)
read_socket_data: recv failure for 4. Error = Connection reset by peer
Her machine is 192.168.0.201 "dana"... In my /etc/cupsd.conf I have this:
<Location />
Order Deny,Allow
Deny From All
Allow From 127.0.0.1
Allow From 192.168.0.*
</Location>
Anyone have any thoughts on what I might have missed? I'm still poking
but I can't find anything yet.
:wq!
