Hmm, I wonder if the kernel is the issue. I found it in:
./2.4.20-4GB-athlon/kernel/drivers/usb/mod_quickcam.o
> root at spirit
> {1}:/usr/src/kernel/linux-2.6.1>xawtv
> This is xawtv-3.90, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.1-bk4)

> no video grabber device available
Yeah, that's typical output if the device is not loaded. Here's my
output from lsusb:
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0451:2046 Texas Instruments, Inc. TUSB2046 Hub
Bus 002 Device 005: ID 046d:0870 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Express
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 056a:0011 Wacom Co., Ltd Graphire 2
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 03f0:0401 Hewlett-Packard ScanJet 5200c
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
When I first got this camera, I downloaded the driver from a sight that
was developing it. There is a list for the driver on sourceforge, you
might check it out.
