Every now and again, you'll get some bursts of totally unrelated/off
topic posts. Often times, the poster will make a feeble attempt at
linking it to the actual topic of the list. Other times, they don't
even try.

Unfortunately, I've been guilty of such and further have been drawn into
others. I've also complained about some.

At any rate, I don't think it's going to end, but the list is a very
good place for assistance with Linux. We have some very knowledgable
folks on the list.

I've recently subscribed to the SuSE Linux list and have found it to be
even worse than ALE regarding OT topics. Further that list contains a
huge # of postings and I'll be unsubscribing because it's too difficult
to wade through the fluff.
