What about bricolage <a  rel="nofollow" href="http://sourceforge.net/projects/bricolage";>http://sourceforge.net/projects/bricolage</a>?  It was 
covered in last months &quot;At the Forge&quot; article in Linux Journal.  Don't 
know if it meets your requirements but it is possibly a good starting 
point.
