I have a Seagate scsi tape drive that probably has a bad tape
error. The drive light is stuck on after a failed backup attempt. Before
rebooting I thought I would check with the guru's to see if there is a
way to reset the device and free the drive without rebooting. The hard
drive is on the same host bus adapter so I don't want to muss that up
:-)

TIA,

Jim Seymour
