Tom's Root/boot: <a  rel="nofollow" href="http://www.toms.net/rb/";>http://www.toms.net/rb/</a>

It's a floppy, not a CD, but you can always use it as your boot image
and make a custom rescue CD.  I think the FAQ has some tips for how to
do that.

There's also knoppix, of course, but I doubt you'll be able to fit that
on 35mb :)
