I saw your post on the kde-linux list just now. That list, like most lists of 
its type is usually occupied with answering questions about the current 
version, which KDE 3.2.1. So, yes, that's the best list for asking, but 
you're not as likely to get a response on an older version. If you have the 
option of upgrading, I would highly recommend that. The new version is a 
quantum leap forward from the 3.1 series. I would try to help, but I'm 
totally unfamiliar with Mandrake. On my own box, I build KDE from source, 
which keeps intact a lot of the features that the distros like to mess with.
