All,
This may be an old question BUT... Redhat 9 vsftp ascii mode is sending files to the Microsoft desktop with line feeds at each line. The text appears a a single line with non alpha numeric delimeters where the carriage return line feed should be. Binary upload/downloads work fine. When I upload via ascii vi sees the file as a "dos" file. Running dos2unix fixes the problem but is not a solution I can live with. We have been successfully using an old windows based GUI "wsftp" to upload and download ascii files. Worked well for years.
I can manually specify ascii from microsoft command prompt and get identical results as the GUI. Is there a config file to modify?
John
BTW this email just bounced and was returned to me. This is the second post....
