I don't think it's so much a case of being naive as much as it is a
kneejerk negative reaction to Microsoft one-upping *nix. Happens all
the time. I do take Chris' point about bloat, but sometimes bloat is
OK as long as it is accompanied by a useful feature set. Technically ,
vi is very much bloated when compared to other alternatives. It's all
relative I guess.
