Heh, been there done that. Fortunately it was the barn, not the house. Four 
days with a large commercial type fan running before you could even stand to 
enter briefly. 

We now have a resident snake:-O Can be quite alarming to realize a snake is 
staring you in the face....  While on a step ladder straining with a heavy 
box.  Still better than the smell!
