Ditto. Look for an Older Orinoco Gold card that is only 802.11b. Add
an extra benefit it will have an external ant. connector.
For me its not at all about speed since the slowest part of my network
is Internet. Transfers between my laptop and desktop can be slow but I
rarely transfer much.
