Fedora and Redhat configs use this parameter:
HWADDR=00:0E:A6:45:CD:FF
But this is how I think Debian does this:

Then add a stanza like the following to /etc/network/interfaces:
mapping eth0
script /usr/local/sbin/match-mac-address.sh
