Have you checked the httpd-ssl.conf file?
You can use an include in the httpd.conf file to include this file for
your ssl configurations.
In your httpd.conf file uncomment
#Include conf/extra/httpd-ssl.conf
and make your config changes in that file.
The httpd-ssl.conf file already has some defaults setup to help guide you.
