What you want is the v1 thru v4 of the Linksys WRT54G or WRT54GS
routers. Upgrade the firmware to the Sveasoft "Talisman" or "Alchemy",
which just are Linksys with added features. This will enable WDS mode
which does what you want. I have the same situation you have and
successfully use two routers to provide a wifi pipe for another room.
The second router also provides enhance wifi coverage of the house. The
latest v5 won't work so don't go to Best Buy looking for these. Go to
Ebay or somewhere second hand. There are several other brands like
Belkin that Sveasoft is working on.
