[ale] WARNING When I Try to Run Version Upgrade

I sent this out earlier today and no one responded. I'll try it again,
and hope that someone has seen this issue before.
I was going to update my Ubuntu on my IBM laptop to the 6.10 Edgy, and
when I ran "gksu "update-manager -c -d" I got a warning that said
"warnings.warn("apt API not stable yet", FutureWarning)".
Has anyone else gotten that, and what does it mean. Is it safe for me to
run the update? I haven't received that warning on any of the other
updates to 6.10 I've done.
TIA
Dan
