[ale] WiFi card recommendation request

I would like to buy a WiFi card or external UTP or USB device that
works well with Linux 2.6.x kernel (Intel or AMD).  There are two
other requirements:  it needs to be able to use an external antenna
and it needs to be available in the Atlanta area.

Support for WPA would be nice, but I will be treating it as if it were
connected directly to the Internet, so the security issues will be
handled elsewhere.   Recommendations?
