Posting a web site that talks about more than the question asked
generically while ignoring specifics provided (e.g. Fedora 9) seems a
grand way of saying "I don't know" which would be so much simpler.
By the way, I don't know either but here is a Fedora 9 specific article
on how to compile your own Apache.

Unfortunately the Fedora Project site doesn't have a search feature so I
couldn't even figure out if they had a document about what is in their
compiles.
