[ale] 'FireGPG' seems to update daily!

Out of curiosity I added the 'FireGPG' plugin to my Firefox on a couple
of Linux boxen. Now it seems I get an update offer on that plugin almost
every day! I see I can disable the auto-update, but first I would like
to know what I might be missing. Can anyone suggest how significant
these updates have been lately?

I don't ever get GPG-encrypted mail so I can easily do without the whole
&*^!! thing.
