[ale] OT: Thunderbird and Yahoo Groups

I'm a member of many yahoo groups and replying to email correctly in 
Thunderbird is horrible.

Yahoo sends all email as HTML.  You have the text from the sender then 
you have navigation
links on the right.  What I do is select the navigation links and all 
the yahoo crap on the bottom and
delete it.  What happens next is that when I start typing my reply my 
cursor is sent to the right
of the email.  Like I'm in a frame.

Is there any advanced setting in Thunderbird or even processing (script) 
I can run in procmail that
will strip this cruft out?
