The Linux Users Group at Georgia Tech presents

"Python - Executable Pseudocode"
  by David Hilley

Feb. 18th, 2009, 7:00 PM
College of Computing Building, room 52

Overview:

Python is a highly productive multi-paradigm dynamically-typed programming
language. It is rapidly becoming a de facto standard for many types of Unix
scripting, displacing Perl; it is also increasingly used in introductory
computer science courses due to its emphasis on code readability. This
presentation will provide a basic overview of the language plus an exploration
of unique and advanced features of Python, including list comprehensions,
generators, decorators and various others.

Upcoming Presentations:

  - 2009.02.25: UNIX History And Philosophy
  - 2009.03.04: Useful Utilities (Roundtable!)
  - 2009.03.11: Wrecking Linux

Hope to see you there!
