I have a Linksys BEFCMU10 ver.3 that quit working today. I have
borrowed my neighbor's Motorola cable modem to verify that my line is
good. It is. That's how I'm sending this email. My Linksys, however
never gets the "Cable" light lit. I have been Googling for hours and
I'm still confused about this WAN side provisioning and firmware
updating. I have Comcast Dallas service. I don't know what my next
step should be. It seems that, indeed, Linksys does not offer any
firmware to the consumer.
Please advise.
