Page Two, as Paul Harvey used to say:

Ran the make install. If anyone is interested, I kept the
output.  It did NOT actually appear to put any .ko files
anywhere.  Don't know why.

More to the point, the microphone still doesn't work;
haven't bothered to try for the camera.

On reboot, if the camera/microphone is plugged in to the
USB port, the sound system barfs and sends all output
to null. cute. NOT! :(  At least it get a messge box telling
me that the sound system is borked.

Any thoughts?
