[ale] OT: Faking Acrobat Plugin Presence

Does anyone know of a way to fake having the Adobe Acrobat Reader plugin
installed in Firefox or Chromium? I'm trying to use a website (Synovus
is the guilty party) that checks the DOM object navigator.plugins for
the presence and version of an Adobe Reader reader entry and dies early
in the process of assembling a download URL if it doesn't find it.
