[ale] SUSE package manager and install empathy

Hello Friends:

I am a Ubuntu person.  In the office we are finally allowed to use Linux but
it has to be SUSE because of the Corp agreement.

I am fine with that, but in Ubuntu we have apt-get, but what do we have in
SUSE ?

I tried using the Install Software UI option but I get the following error

Media source 'cd:///?devices=/dev/sr0' does not contain the desired medium

The install tries to reach out to some repository

I know we have a SUSE expert here on the mailing list, so please help out.
