Kermit?  As long as not something weird like IBM327x or 525x,
I always found Kermit very very good.  But Windows itself has a
fairly decent (serial) terminal emulator (stripped-down version
of Hilgreave's HyperTerm), least it did through XP {shrug}.  -kc
