My opinion: this is doomed.
Put everything on Godaddy and let them deal with it, unless
email is a hobby for you.
Then access it from everywhere/anywhere. Evolution on Linux,
IMAP on smart phones and tablets.
I used to run a postfix server until I realized it was driving me
crazy.
