Some more trivia: The Dutch Queeen is still sending telegrams at
special occasions.

At one moment I wondered how that worked and found out that apparently
the Dutch national telegraph service has been sold to UTS, a Swiss
company. They claim (at <http://www.uniteltelegram.com/services.htm>)
to "operate the official telegram services of more than 45 countries"
although the transport is likely to be more modern.
