Hm..  My biggest beef with p'tel is more mundane... when I try to do
a 'recall' function on the phone, 50% of the time it gives me 

"Busy. Try again later."

And sometimes when I try to dial it beeps twice and asks to redial? and
if I say yes, it pauses for a second then says "redial failed"

But other than that, it's a good service.  Of course, I haven't gone
out of the atlanta area much to use it, but I had coverage in 
Tennessee (big challenge there).  And the phones can take a heckuva
beating.  :)
