One difference is the initialization process. Linux uses the "System V" style
initab with multiple run levels (or setups). Whereas, BSD uses only one run
level and the initialization is controlled be the /etc/rc.conf file.

Can someone tell me the major differences between BSD and Linux?
Isn't BSD the Berkeley variation of Unix? And, I know that Linux uses some BSD
code, so why the distinction? Thanks.
