Okay, got a question for you lovely X and /or Gnome specialists out there.
When I get on Gnome as root, I can bring up a terminal, no problem, point and click.
When I get on as my regular user account, I get a nasty message about Unix98ptys, and I don't get a terminal.
The error message also says something about checking /linux/Documentation/Changes, which of course, I can't find on my machine. I am wondering if it is referring to a website somewhere. I've tried a few variations, but no luck.
Anyone know what files I need to change permissions on in order to bring up a terminal in Gnome?
Thanks for any assistance.
Sage
