[ale] Printer question

It's not necessary for the printer to understand postscript. You
would select a printer driver on the windows box for some other
printer that does accept postscript (e.g., an Apple LaserWriter II).

The Linux box would then be configured to run the data through
ghostscript which would generate the PCL code (presuming there's
an appropriate ghostscript printer driver for your printer). The
details of configuration may depend on the Linux distribution you
are using.

I'll check to see if my HP takes PostScript. I hope it does. This would
really help.

Thanks!
