[ale] ftp wierdness

I'm having some ftp wierdness too, it's a little differrent though.
I can ftp files from win -> linux but can't get files over about 2Mb 
from linux to win.  It doesn't matter if win or linux is the server.  
This happens even with no firewall.  I can ls fine and even get small 
files from linux to win.  Can anyone help?
