[ale] PHP 4.1.1 will not compile

Has anyone had any luck compiling php-4.1.1 ?? I can't get it to
compile, it drops out on what looks like the mm stuff. I've searched the
archives and google and find lots of people with the same problem but no
answer. Seems this problem existed in previous version (ie. 4.07...)
What gives?
