[ale] system freezes

Hello all,
        I am asking the gurus on this list for help.  For the last
several
weeks I have been the victim of system freezes.  For no apparent reason,
my system locks up.  No keyboard input or mouse input.  Where should I
start looking for the cause?  I have made sure each component has it's
own IRQ.  Temperature seems fine.  I have installed the latest video
drivers from nVidia.  

system:
RH7.2
Asus A7V266 mobo
AMD 1.3 GHz Athlon
nVidia GeForce 2 MX200
512 megs RAM

Any help is appreciated.
