I went through an ordeal with AT&T several months ago where their
access concentrator would just drop my PPPoE session and not build a
new one for upwards of 5 minutes each time. I went round and round
with phone support, and after 4 different line techs came out to my
house, the last tech finally escalated my ticket to some Digitial
group they have that manages the CO hardware and a day later my
problem disappeared. But even the line techs had no idea when I tried
talking details with them of my problem.
