[ale] Using RHN Satellite to deploy a standard firewall: recommendations?

I'm using SUSE Manager, which is  SUSE's rebuild of Spacewalk (the open source version of Satellite).  You could just push out a /etc/sysconfig/iptables file with a config channel, then follow that with a remote execution script to do "service iptables restart"
Or, you could just do the remote execution script to pull down a copy of the iptables file from somewhere and do the restart.

I'm just getting Satellite up and running for the first time. I'm
already using the "Configuration Channels" to deploy some standard
stuff like /etc/skel/.bashrc. I'm thinking that would be the easiest
way to deploy standard firewall scripts, but I wanted to get some
experienced opinions first. So, do any of you use Satellite? If so, do
you use it to deploy firewall scripts?
