I bought a SoundBlaster16 at the Fayetteville WalMart several years ago.
It was a dud, so I exchanged it for another. The replacement was also a
dud. So I thought I'd get a refund and buy a card from another store
that likely had a different batch of cards. No go. The lady at the
exchange desk said they didn't do refunds for computer items. Some mild
protesting got her to fetch the manager of the electronics department,
who told me that they couldn't give me a refund on the card because
I might have put a virus on it. He claimed they had a real problem with
people who returned not only software, but also apparently _hardware_
with viruses on it.

You just can't argue with people who are that stupid. :-)

(I eventually did get a refund- I just kept fussing and fussing until
the realized that I really didn't have anything better to do than to
stand there and monopolize the entire service desk until I got what I
wanted.. :-)

What's a Wega TV?

You know, Sears was also on the DIVX bandwagon in the early days. They've
since gotten a clue. When I'm feeling particularly mean (and bored)
at Lenox, I stop into the miniature Circuit City store there and make
loud rude comments about DIVX in front of prospective customers.. :-)

It's a wonder Heather lets me go out in public.. This could make for an
interesting WalMart trip. Baron in a dress, me being loud and obnoxious..
